What to equip, in one line
Reflex Device, unless your problem is something else. It widens the perfect-parry and perfect-dodge windows, and this game's defence is not a fallback — parrying is the damage engine. Everything else here is a specialist answer, and after the first region you have enough slots to run the generalist and the specialist together.
| If your problem is | Take | Because |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot hit the parry timing | Reflex Device | Wider windows, no downside, first region |
| You keep dying to the guard break | Mother's Talisman | Restores 10% HP the moment your guard breaks |
| Your damage has plateaued | Counterstrike Bracers | +20% after a parry, so it multiplies with upgrades |
| You never have Sha-Chi | Resonance Talisman or Shenji's Ring | +15% Sha-Chi, or 20% cheaper guard-holding |
| Bleed or lifesteal stopped working | Livingwood Talisman | Makes both 50% effective against constructs |
| A boss keeps one-shotting your opener | Battleforged | Ten damage-free seconds = one free hit absorbed |
| You are farming Remnant Dust | Treasure Basin | +15% Remnant Dust from everything |
How accessories actually work
Four rules do most of the work, and three of them are the ones players miss:
- Six slots, three per type. You start with two and unlock four more through Boundless Capacity nodes in the ability tree. But no single category can exceed three, so a six-slot build is always at least two categories — three Offensive plus three Defensive is the standard shape.
- Accessories upgrade. They carry a polish level like weapons, and polishing raises the effect. This is why a 5% accessory you found in region one is still relevant at the end, and why Remnant Dust spent on a slot node usually beats Dust spent on a weapon you will replace.
- Fragments are not accessories yet. Preservation Jar, Guardian Idol, Sha-Chi Headscarf, Manor Medicine Pot and Remnant Spark Cube each need two to four pieces before an equippable item exists. If a guide lists "Preservation Talisman Fragments", that is the crafting step, not an item.
- Type matters for stacking, not for power. Two accessories with the same effect do not stack; the game generally prevents duplicates, so build breadth rather than depth.
All 59 accessories, by region
Grouped the way you actually find them. Type follows the source that tested it in-game; where guides disagree on type or on a number, the item is flagged and the disagreements are collected at the end.

Totals: 25 Offensive, 15 Defensive, 19 Support.
Why the guides say 27
Because the list is broken, and it broke in a specific, checkable way. Game8's accessory page carries three type counters that add to 27, but the page itself renders six cards, alphabetically, stopping at Brass Chest Guard — and its Support page has a heading, a definition, and zero items. That is a half-built table, not a census.
The count we published before this revision said 32, built by cross-checking five guides. That was also wrong, in the other direction: it was a union of what five incomplete lists happened to name, and the moment a source with in-game locations existed, the number roughly doubled. GameSpot's route names 59 items across all seven regions and calls the total "nearly 60", so the honest figure is 59 confirmed with a small tail still undocumented.
Two consequences worth keeping:
- Collector's Notes is easier than it looks. The silver trophy asks for 30 accessories out of roughly 60, so it lands somewhere in the Village of Lu or Pangzhen on a normal run. It is a milestone, not a completion requirement — you do not need the fragment-built items for it.
- Do not trust a round number in a guide index. 27 came from a counter, 32 came from a union of incomplete lists, and both were published as fact. The list below is built the other way round: every row has a location you can walk to.
Where the sources disagree
| Item | Disagreement | What we print |
|---|---|---|
| Brass Chest Guard | GameSpot: Sha-Chi drain −20%. Game8: −30% | 20%, with the Game8 figure noted |
| Treasure Basin | GameSpot: +15% Remnant Dust. Game8: +10% | 15%, with the Game8 figure noted |
| Jewel's Knot | GameSpot: +10% HP. Earlier guides: +15% | 10%, marked inline |
| Reflex Device type | GameSpot and Game8: Support. Maxroll lists it under Defensive | Support, because the effect is a timing window, not mitigation |
| Mother's Talisman type | GameSpot: Defensive. Game8: Support | Defensive |
| Lingran's Pendant | Fextralife calls it Pendant of Righteousness, with the same −15% combo cost and the same region | GameSpot's name, one item not two |
| Total count | Game8: 27. GameSpot: nearly 60 | 59 named rows below |
What to pair it with
Accessories are the third layer of a build, after the weapon and the Phantom Edge, and two of them exist to rescue specific weapons. Livingwood Talisman is the reason Jagged Steel and Outlaw Warblade do not fall off a cliff against constructs, and the full weapon table marks which weapons carry an immunity-restricted effect before you spend Dust on them.
Reflex Device is worth more than its 15% sounds because of how parrying works: the perfect-parry window is the input the entire damage system is built on, so widening it improves every fight rather than one stat. If you are still choosing a weapon, read the weapon tier list first — accessories amplify a build, they do not create one.
